Man Utd's O'Shea moving to Sunderland

They are not rumors anymore. Manchester United defender John O'Shea is undergoing a medical at Sunderland. The 30-year-old travelled to Wearside on Thursday morning after team-mate Wes Brown had a medical at the club on Wednesday night. The Black Cats had a joint bid of more than £12m for the pair, plus midfielder Darron Gibson, accepted in June. Boss Steve Bruce has been busy this summer, having already made six summer signings, including Seb Larsson and Craig Gardner from Birmingham.

Former United defender Bruce has also snapped up goalkeeper Keiren Westwood from Coventry, South Korean striker Ji Dong-won from Chunnam Dragons, forward Connor Wickham from Ipswich and agreed a permanent deal for Egyptian winger Ahmed Elmohamady, who was on loan at the Stadium of Light last season.
